annually, i would say i reach a point where my education in english, history, and otherwise unclassifiable things completely fails me, and im left staring at my bookshelf in the disbelief that i might be getting stupid, losing my edge on such things. i have, i will admit, spent my summer drinking expensive macrobrew and playing videogames, and not indulging myself in front of a work-in-progress. i do regret this, but it is nonetheless a fact. i need a kick-start, if only because i have to start writing papers again in a couple weeks, but also, i only have one little piece to submit to colored chalk (again) and that annoys me.

Consider this your e-kick.

If nothing else, some dweeb put up a new exercise in the Prompts and Exercises section (#2). See if you can come up with a better title or springboard off the one in there.

Now quit looking at that controller... Be thou not tempted by digital delight.

as usual, i pick a time to say i need a kick in the ass because nothing is going on for a week or so, and someone comes in from out of town. then next week is my cousins wedding and all the pre-wedding bullshit that flows along with that. and then im leaving the wedding prematurely, even though im in it, so i can witness the combine destruction derby mentioned in stranger than fiction.
