I've Got No Stars In My Eyes

Postby Sardonic Artery on Mon Sep 08, 2008 12:16 pm

Ahoy,

I'm no longer getting the red star to indicate when a section of the forum has been updated. Am I the only one experiencing this?

I still get it, but I've noticed that it lasts for only a short time. For instance, if I don't visit the forums for a week or so, when I come back only those threads which have been updated in the last 24 hours show as new.

Is there a way to fix this?

I'll look into it, but I'm not sure how much freedom I'm going to get with this host. It should be noted that any time you visit the forum, even for just a blink, if you're logged in, the stars will not show up next time. It's kind of an annoying feature about the board. I'll take a look if I can find some settings to work with.

Apologies for being a bit inactive lately. Just recently began 12 hour days of classes and it's eating away at my time.

Thanks for looking into it.

Ouch, bruv. 12 hours of classes is a drain. Are they at least good classes?

Some are. Criminology and Forensics are two classes that I'm taking, and they're going pretty well. Both are interesting. Others, not so much: this course called Psychology of Creativity for instance, despite the name, does not have much to do with Psychology at all. The first day of class we spent making things out of newspapers like we were back in third grade. That'd be fine as a fun activity and all, but looking at the syllabus it's going to be like that the whole semester. Not quite what I wanted to spend three hundred dollars for.

I have that class again in a few hours, this will be the second one. So I'll see how it goes. Thanks for asking.
