Musics: Instrumental, Soundtracks...

Postby rainbowsheeps on Fri Jul 18, 2008 11:41 pm

What are some bands that you listen to that have little to no lyrics? Or what soundtracks do you like?

I'm becoming a fiend for this type of thing. Soundtracks included. I'm particularly fond of Mogwai - Mr. Beast and Mogwai Young Team. Also love Clint Mansell's work, specifically his stuff with Aronofsky - Pi, Requiem For A Dream, The Fountain.

Clint Mansell:

Danny Murphy's Sunshine soundtrack, especially "The Surface of the Sun" and "Mercury."

Jon Brion's Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind soundtrack, especially "Row", "Phone Call", "Elephant Parade", "Theme" and Beck's "Everybody's Gotta Learn Sometime."

Broken Social Scene's Half Nelson tracks, particularly "Stars & Sons"

Probably more that are slipping my mind right now. What soundtracks/instrumental bands do you listen to?

And, what, if anything, do you listen to while writing?
I am the ghost that haunts my dreams. It's pathetic, really, to be the monster of my own nightmares. Next to you is the only time I feel safe...
