Zack Snyder's directing a film adaptation of Alan Moore's graphic novel Watchmen. This is a full-sized HD version of the trailer, shown along with TDK:

I'm reading "Watchmen" now. I don't know if they'll be able to pull this one off on film.

I have yet to read the novel, but I think I'm going to before I go see the movie.

It's coming out soon. The trailers look alright, and the premise is very interesting... they seem to have nailed a specific type of atmosphere from the trailers I've seen so far (the rainy blue city in the 80's is pretty nice), so I'll definitely be seeing it at least.

I hear the comic's amazing though, and I want to read that first.

The comic is good, but again, overrated. There are things Alan Moore does (and keeps doing) to make sure you "get it" even though you do and quite frankly, you think it isn't working. The ending though--quite good.

So... anyone see this flick? I've skipped it so far; namely because I'm a cheapskate.
